Now we need a fast way to download shows to put in our video servers to get our viewers ingaged in our social media providers.
The answer is batch files. The batch file automates the step-by-step process of downloading the correct resolution of a video,
converting it to mpeg 2, adjusting audio levels, cutting the shows up into segments so we can run commercials, and
overlaying graphics to tell viewers where they can watch more od these videos. A lot of work if you do it manualy.
We do all of this by using software which we will talk you through putting into your computer in the
next section. All we ask for is in an shows we provide you give us 1 minute an hour for a local spot. Hundreds of hours of
work for something you have plenty of as you start up.
I reccomend doing this work in a computer seperate from your video servers as it takes a lot of processor and memory
and may cause your on-air system to studder. If you do not have a computer sitting unused, you can get a refurbished one from Wal-Mart,
amazon or NewEgg for under $200 that will work fine.
